Petasemi Launches 1550nm Narrow-Linewidth High-Power Laser Chip

Petasemi has officially launched its self-developed 1550nm narrow-linewidth high-power laser chip. With core performance advantages including ultra-narrow linewidth, high-power output, and ultra-low noise, the chip delivers high-performance photonic solutions for applications such as high-speed communications, intelligent sensing, and LiDAR, marking a significant technological breakthrough in domestic optoelectronic core devices.

The newly launched 1550nm laser chip achieves three major performance breakthroughs:

  • Optical Power > 100mW, meeting the power demands of long-distance transmission and high-density integration;
  • Linewidth < 100kHz, significantly improving signal transmission stability and detection accuracy while effectively suppressing phase noise;
  • Relative Intensity Noise (RIN) < -160dB/Hz, approaching the quantum limit with ultra-low noise performance, making it an ideal local oscillator source for microwave photonics and coherent optical communications.

As a high-tech enterprise focused on the R&D and production of advanced photonic chips, Petasemi is deeply engaged in the development of core devices for high-speed communications, data centers, and related fields. The launch of this 1550nm narrow-linewidth high-power laser chip not only overcomes the technical challenge of balancing power, linewidth, and noise, but also leverages the advantages of the 1550nm golden window for optical fiber communications. It is widely applicable to diverse scenarios including 400G/800G coherent optical transmission, automotive LiDAR, distributed fiber optic sensing, and quantum communications, providing core light source support for the next-generation upgrade of optoelectronic systems.
